About Laura
Laura is a family physician and a Mom of three busy school age kids. Her husband, Darryl, is also a doctor, specializing in OB-Gyn. They moved to East Texas in 1996 to set up their practices and raise their lively family in a rural setting. They live on 30 acres with 2 sets of grandparents on the property. Laura has always been the animal lover….having raised a squirrel, four dogs, two cats, four horses (with a new baby foal named Storm), four sugar gliders, two fish, and a hermit crab. Labradoodles are very appealing to her because of their intuitive, intelligent nature and their non-shedding, hypoallergenic coats.

About Mandy
Mandy is the mother of four (3 still at home) and proud grandmother of one. She is a Mediator and also works in child advocacy for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). She is originally from East Texas and has lived at Lake Fork for 12 years. Mandy has bred, raised and trained Labradors for 13 years – her dogs are well known for their looks, instincts, and calm demeanor. Many of her past puppies are active in hunt test and field competitions. After much thought and lots of research, she has decided to use her breeding and training experience to produce quality Labradoodle puppies using her original Labrador breeding stock.

About Mary

Mary Cable, the mother of two active young teen dog lovers, also stays busy as administrator of her husband’s law firm, particularly when he is out hunting with several of their working Labradors. A native of the Rio Grande Valley down in McAllen, Texas, Mary was raised with standard poodles and claims to have thought about crossing these breeds long before anyone actually did it on purpose. The Cables’ lab bloodline is locally well known for extraordinary temperament. Their late great yellow male “Ben” sired well over 100 labs in the area for owners who heard about him by word of mouth from local duck and dove hunters as well as golfers (Ben was a regular cart passenger with several groups at the Sulphur Springs Country Club). Ben’s son Billy, pictured on this site, passes along the calm, trainable personality traits to the “doodles”.

About Kathy

Kathy has worked for Laura for 11 plus years. Graduated from child care to puppy/kennel care. She knows as much about the dogs as Mary and Laura and loves dogs just as much! The dogs love her, too, obviously!
