Doodle News

Lola is in heat, and will be bred to Chip again for standard chocolate pups. Should be ready to leave the end of December, if all goes as planned!

Yukon, our standard poodle is looking for a forever home. He's retired from our breeding program. He's house trained, very loving, and good with other dogs. Will be 7 years old this summer.

Our Written Guarantee

Puppies produced by Lake Country Labradoodles carry a hip and eye guarantee covering genetic disorders that prevent the dog from certification through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) or the University of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program (PennHip), and the Canine Eye Registration Foundation, Inc. (CERF).

No breeder can state that any given puppy will be completely free of a genetic defect. In our breeding program, we screen our stock and research the backgrounds of the sires and dams and any litters they may have produced. When we are satisfied with health of the parents, we use them for breeding purposes. This greatly reduces the odds of whelping a genetically inferior or defective puppy. In line with this, we can therefore offer a health guarantee if the purchaser complies with the following stipulations:

» This guarantee applies only to the original purchaser of the puppy and is non-transferable. If the puppy has been sold or given away, the health guarantee is null and void.

» The dog must be certified to be clear of hip dysphasia within three (3) months of reaching 24 months of age through OFA or through the Penn-Hip procedure. The puppy’s microchip number must appear on all documentation or certificates.

» The dog must be cleared of genetic eye disease by a Board Certified Canine Ophthalmologist by the time he/she reaches one (1) year of age. The microchip number must be included in certification documents.

» If a problem should arise before or at the time of examination, the purchaser must notify us immediately in writing and provide the Veterinarian’s name, contact information, written diagnosis and medical records (microchip number noted), and x-rays. Additionally, Lake Country retains the right for a second opinion to be obtained from a veterinarian of our choosing.

» At this point, if it is determined that a serious problem exists, we will give the purchaser a replacement puppy of like or similar breeding from the next available litter. Lake Country may, at our option, choose to refund the purchase price of the defective puppy. Owner is responsible for transportation of the replacement puppy.
